Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Machine Learning Intern to join Convin’s AI team. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world AI/ML problems, end-to-end model development, and close collaboration with experienced ML engineers on production-grade systems.

This internship is ideal for final-semester students (2026 batch) seeking a semester-long internship, as well as freshers looking to build a strong foundation in applied machine learning.

Key Responsibilities

As a Machine Learning Intern, you will:

• Assist in building, training, and evaluating machine learning and deep learning models
• Work on data collection, cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering
• Implement ML algorithms using Python and relevant ML/DL libraries
• Support model development for:
• Classification, regression, and clustering problems
• NLP, speech, or analytics use cases (as applicable)
• Analyze model performance and help improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
• Collaborate with senior ML engineers to:
• Run experiments and document findings
• Optimize models for performance and reliability
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning
• Gain exposure to deploying or integrating ML models into existing systems

Basic Requirements

Educational Background

2026 batch students in their final semester looking for a 6-month internship

Freshers with strong ML fundamentals may also be considered

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts
• Proficiency in Python
• Good knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)
• Familiarity with NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn
• Exposure to TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus

Foundational Knowledge

• Supervised and unsupervised learning concepts
• Model evaluation metrics
• Basic statistics and linear algebra

Good to Have (Nice-to-Have)

• Hands-on projects or internships in ML/AI
• Exposure to NLP, speech processing, or analytics
• Experience with Jupyter notebooks, Git, or cloud environments
• Strong curiosity and willingness to learn and experiment
