Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to join our development team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure backend systems. Your work will involve developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs, integrating databases, optimizing performance, and ensuring system reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.

• Design, build, and optimize RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs.

• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.

• Implement security best practices, authentication, and authorization (OAuth, JWT, etc.).

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues efficiently.

• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.

• Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and serverless technologies when needed.

• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement processes.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js and TypeScript.

• Strong understanding of JavaScript ES6+ features and asynchronous programming.

• Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or other Node.js frameworks.

• Proficiency in working with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).

• Knowledge of API security, authentication, and authorization techniques.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is desirable.

• Understanding of testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai.

• Familiarity with Git version control and Agile development methodologies.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Server.

• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, or Firebase.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Experience with WebSockets and real-time applications.

• Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects on GitHub.
