CodeHers is a coding challenge organized by Walmart Global Tech’s team in India, with a goal to make technology jobs in India more attainable for all. The challenge is open to all female engineering students in India and designed to highlight opportunities in tech roles. 

The challenge spans two days and typically attracts around 100,000 registrations. Focused on tapping into new talent pools, CodeHers offers students an exciting opportunity to kickstart their careers in technology with Walmart Global Tech.

Top performers in the competition earn the chance to intern with Walmart and receive a pre-placement offer for relevant roles within the company.

Eligibility and Guidelines:

The challenge is open to students across engineering colleges who are pursuing the following degrees in circuit branches (ECE, EE, EEE, IT, CS):

• BE/ B.Tech. full-time programs - Batch of 2025 and 2026 (1st and 2nd-year students are not eligible to apply)
• Dual degree (B.Tech+M.Tech only) full-time program -  Batch of 2025 and 2026 (1st/2nd/3rd-year students are not eligible to apply)
• ME/ M.Tech. full-time programs - Batch of 2025 and 2026 (2026 graduating batch to be considered for summer internships and 2025 graduating batch to be considered for full-time roles this year)
• Only candidates with a 7+ CGPA are eligible to apply. Any student not meeting this mark will be disqualified.
• Participants using multiple IDs to participate will be eliminated from further processes.

Competition Structure: 

• Level 1 - MCQ Challenge to test your computer fundamentals with 25 objective questions that need to be solved in 25 minutes.
• Level 2 - Coding Challenge, where shortlisted participants will get 90 minutes to present logical coding solutions to 2 problem statements.
• Level 3 - The cumulative score of the MCQ and Coding Challenge will be ascertained and considered for shortlisting the final students. All top coders who are shortlisted will be informed regarding our planned interview process via email.

Result Declaration Process: 

• 2 questions of 100 marks each will be allocated with equal weightage for private and public test cases. It is very likely that candidates scoring full during the assessment may fail a few private test cases, because of which their final scores will not be the same.
• A fair evaluation will be ensured by conducting a thorough sanity check. Any participant found using unfair means will be eliminated from further processes. Candidates are requested to rest assured that the evaluation process will be true and fair with ample checks accounted for to ensure the accuracy of the scores.

• Summer Internship Opportunities 2025 (May – June):
  • Top Coders from 2026 graduating batch will be offered direct summer internship opportunities at Walmart Global Tech India across our offices in Bangalore and Chennai with a monthly stipend of â‚¹1-1.1 lakh.

• Software Engineering Full-Time Opportunities 2025:
  • Top Coders from the 2025 graduating batch will be contacted by our campus recruitment team for Pre Placement Interviews against relevant opportunities for Software roles at Walmart Global Tech India.
  • Our software engineering salaries are in the range of â‚¹18-21 lakhs with ₹2-3.5 lakhs joining bonus and stock grants up to â‚¹2.5 lakhs. Additional perks like one-way airfare for self and dependents, two weeks of initial accommodation at the base job location city, additional office facilities and benefits, and an opportunity to learn, connect and collaborate with a talented team!

Participation certificates will not be provided for this opportunity.

Note: Most of the interviews will happen in descending order of scores until all the open positions are filled for the 2025 batch. Hence, there might be some students who may not be interviewed basis the open positions.
