Scrut Automation is an information security and compliance monitoring platform, aimed at helping small and medium cloud-native enterprises develop and maintain a robust security posture, and comply with various infosec standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and the like with ease. With the help of the Scrut platform, customers reduce their manual effort for security and compliance tasks by 70% and build real-time visibility of their security posture.

Founded by IIT/ISB/McKinsey alumni, the founding team has over 15 years of combined Infosec experience. Scrut is built out of India for the world, with customers across India, APAC, North America, Europe and the Middle East. Scrut is backed by Lightspeed Ventures, MassMutual Ventures and Endiya Partners, along with prominent angels from the global SaaS community.

Personal traits we are looking for:

• Are you naturally curious and willing to pick up new skills?

• Do you get excited about solving interesting problems?

• Do you have deep empathy for the end-user and are willing to talk to customers to reach a deep understanding of the problem?

• Can you verbalize several proposed solutions for a given problem? Earnest to collaborate but defaults to action and can autonomously figure out the solution to a problem.

• Are you opinionated but enjoying the benefits of being a generalist and not tied down to a specific language, framework, or particular process?

• Most importantly, do you have clarity about things?

Technical skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

• 6 months - 1 Year of work experience

• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles

• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)

• Comfortable with RESTful APIs

• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token

• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

• Bonus: Experience building SaaS applications

While we do not expect you to have experience in our current tech stack, it is a bonus if you do — you can start contributing sooner. Our tech stack is: nodejs, Express,nextjs, react, and DynamoDB.
