About the Role

As coding agents increasingly contribute to software development, quality engineering is evolving beyond traditional testing. At Playo, the Harness Engineer Intern will help design intelligent systems of automated guides and sensors that ensure every code change is reliable, scalable, and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

Build Intelligent Test Automation Systems

• Develop behaviour harnesses for Playo’s services
• Create end-to-end (E2E) and API automation frameworks
• Support AI-driven test generation across the engineering stack

Improve Software Reliability

• Build feedforward guides and feedback sensors
• Detect regressions early in the development lifecycle
• Enable self-correcting quality systems

Work with Modern Engineering Infrastructure

• Collaborate across microservices architecture
• Integrate testing pipelines with CI/CD workflows
• Contribute to scalable developer productivity systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong programming fundamentals in:
  • TypeScript / JavaScript
  • Python
• Understanding of:
  • REST APIs
  • GraphQL APIs
  • Microservices architecture
  • Docker
  • GitHub Actions

Testing Experience

Hands-on experience with at least one of the following:

E2E Testing Frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with practical experience using AI coding tools will stand out.
