Flipkart GRiD is our flagship engineering campus challenge, recognised as India's largest Tech Case Competition. Curated for the best and the brightest engineering students across India, GRiD's legacy has been about more than just a competition - it's where talent meets innovation and entrepreneurship.

Contest Details

Eligibility:

• All engineering colleges across India
• Degrees of B.Tech, M.Tech, B.E., M.S., and Dual or integrated degrees
• Batch of 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029 for Bachelor's or Master's degrees, and batch of 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030 for dual/integrated degrees

Program Registration:

Individuals will be required to register as solo participants. The same should be done within the mentioned deadline, ensuring that only accurate data is being submitted. Failure to do so will result in immediate disqualification.

Tracks & Roles:

There is only one track for GRiD 7.0 - Software Development. Based on the performance throughout the program, the candidates will be shortlisted for Software Development Engineer -1 (SDE-1) roles at Flipkart.

Program Construct:

All registered participants will be subjected to screening based on academic criteria, followed by a coding assessment for the first round of elimination. The shortlisted candidates work on the business problem statement to submit a technical solution for the same, based on which the participants are shortlisted for the hiring process and the National Finals.

Key Milestones

Flipkart GRiD 7.0 will move across 4 milestones, with each stage acting as a qualifier for the next one. The stages and challenges posed during the entire phase are designed to give the participants a flavor of relevant and interesting problems from the ecommerce ecosystem, assessing you on your problem solving, critical thinking, technical aptitude, and coding skills.

* Round 1: Screening

The registered candidates will undergo a screening process where their academic performance and consistency, along with non-academic achievements and other accolades will be considered. The shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next stage.

* Round 2: Coding Assessment

The shortlisted candidates will then appear for a proctored coding assessment that will consist of 3 questions to be attempted in 90 minutes, covering languages like Python, Java, C, C++ etc.. The scores will be calculated based on the clearance of test cases for these questions, and the ones which are equal to or higher than the cutoff score will move to the next round.

* Round 3: Case Study-based Code

The shortlisted candidates will receive a business problem statement of Flipkart and will be asked to solve the same through Tech. This will require you to build a tool or system level solution for the proposed problem, and share the code for the same. The detailed brief of the round will be given to the relevant participants when the round will go live.

* Round 4: National Finals

The Top 48 candidates will be selected for the grand finale round, and will be invited to the Flipkart Headquarters in Bangalore, for the final evaluation. The selected candidates will be asked to form teams of 4, develop a prototype based on the solutions submitted by them in the previous round, and come prepared with a live demo of the working prototype. The Flipkart leadership jury will evaluate them based on the same, and the top 6 teams (24 candidates) will be awarded. The detailed brief of the round will be given to the relevant participants when the round will go live.

Hiring Process:
Post round 3, subject to clearance of collated evaluation score of the submission, and based on the year of study, the candidates will be shortlisted for either summer internship, winter internship, or full-time opportunities. The details of the process will be shared at a later stage for the relevant participants via their respective platforms.
