The Data Science Intern will work in teams addressing natural language processing, large language models (LLMs), and agentic AI problems in a commercial technology and consultancy development environment. Roles Overview

• Assist in the design and development of software applications and tools that integrate NLP models, large language models (LLMs), and agentic AI systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement software solutions for NLP-related challenges.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to support the deployment and scalability of NLP models and algorithms.

• Participate in debugging, testing, and optimizing software applications to ensure reliability and performance.

• Support the integration of NLP solutions into existing software systems and workflows.

• Contribute to the development of APIs and interfaces for NLP models and services.

• Assist in the automation of data processing pipelines and workflows for large text data sets.

• Stay informed about advancements in software development practices and tools, particularly in the context of AI and NLP.

• Document software designs, code, and processes to ensure clarity and maintainability.

• Participate in code reviews and learn best practices for software development and version control.

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure alignment between software solutions and business needs.

• Support the development of tools for data collection, annotation, and preprocessing to improve model performance.

Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with NLP libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers or SpaCy.

• Knowledge of database systems and data management tools.
