Job Description: As an Associate Database Developer, you will be crucial in designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to support the organization's data management needs. Working closely with senior database developers and other IT professionals, you will contribute to developing and optimising databases, ensuring efficient and secure data storage and retrieval. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.

Responsibilities:

1.     Database Design and Development:

Assist in designing and implementing database solutions based on business requirements. Develop, test, and deploy database scripts, queries, and stored procedures. Collaborate with senior developers to optimize database performance and ensure scalability.

2.     Data Modeling:

Participate in the creation and modification of database models for various applications. Contribute to the normalization and optimization of database structures.

3.     Data Maintenance and Security:

Support routine database maintenance tasks, such as backups, restores, and data purging. Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard sensitive data.

4.     Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of database systems. Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and timelines.

5.     Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:

Assist in identifying and resolving database-related issues and performance bottlenecks. Provide support for database-related incidents and participate in on-call rotation if required.

6.     Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database designs, processes, and configurations. Create user guides and documentation for database-related procedures.

7.     Continuous Learning:

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in database development. Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills.

Eligibility Criteria:

1.     Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or a related field with 75% of aggregate throughout the academics, who passed out in 2022/23.

2.     Exposure to relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.

3.     Familiarity with database design principles, normalization, and optimization.

4.     Basic understanding of SQL and query optimization.

5.     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

6.     Good communication and collaboration skills.

7.     Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

8.     Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
