This role works closely with various teams to build solutions that accelerates faster delivery of Visa products to market. The candidate should have a strong background in Java and experience with various development methodologies, tools, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, Code, test, document and develop solutions that accelerate faster delivery of Visa Products to market.
• Develop code that complies with design specifications and meets security and coding best practices.
• Work with team members on technical software development issues, problem analysis and resolution.
• Work with cross functional teams to understand the operational bottlenecks in current delivery processes.
• Learn and adopt technologies, like generative AI, that provide developer productivity improvements. 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree, OR 1+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
• 0.6 - 1.5 years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in Full Stack Software Development for large-scale, mission-critical applications.
• Experience with Core Spring, Spring MVC, SpringBoot, Hibernate/JPA, JDBC, Tomcat.
• Expertise with RDBMS systems such as SQL Server or Oracle.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines is preferred
• Strong data analytical skills to understand data and build excellent products.
• Proficient in Web Services/API Development using REST and JSON.
• Experience of building tools/utilities using Python is an added advantage
• Proficient with GIT/Stash, Maven, Jenkins, etc.
• Familiarity with GenAI tools for development (e.g., CoPilot, ChatGPT).
• Experience with Agile development methodology.
