About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Automation Intern to join our dynamic team. As an SDET intern, you will be working with our QA and development teams to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing, automation frameworks, and cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation Development: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
- Test Frameworks: Work on the design and implementation of automated test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Partner with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and identify potential software quality issues early in the development cycle.
- Test Execution and Reporting: Execute automated tests, analyze results, and generate reports to identify and troubleshoot defects.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of testing strategies and methodologies, ensuring that automation practices are up to date with the latest industry trends.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, concise documentation of test scripts, frameworks, and processes.
- Bug Identification and Tracking: Identify and report software defects, working closely with the development team to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Learning and Development: Actively participate in learning opportunities and team discussions to enhance technical skills related to software development, testing, and automation tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- We are looking for someone with strong coding and analytical skills who enjoys identifying bugs and catching system issues.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, system testing, etc.).
- Exposure to automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and clearly report findings.
- A passion for quality and a desire to learn new technologies in the field of software testing and automation.
