What you will do:

As a member of our Data Analytics Production team, you will be involved in the development of in-database analytics functions, BYOM (Bring Your Own Model) predictive functions, and the vector store, which includes semantic search and large language models (LLMs). You will leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to create innovative solutions and develop scalable models that integrate seamlessly into Teradata’s analytics platform. This position will play a key role in shaping the future of AI-driven applications, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), recommendation systems, and multimodal solutions across diverse enterprise use cases.

• Collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the company who value diversity, equity, and inclusion, working cohesively to deliver high-quality, critical, and highly visible Generative AI and machine learning functionalities within the Teradata Vantage platform.
• You will report directly to the Manager of the analytics team.
   

What makes you a qualified candidate:
 

• 2+ years' Experience in building and operating distributed machine learning algorithms.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java, or Python, preferably on Unix or Linux platforms.
• Strong foundational knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent debugging skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
• Familiarity with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce runbooks and both technical and non-technical documentation.
   

What you will bring:
 

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, with a focus on algorithms.
• Familiarity with AI and large language models (LLMs) is a significant plus.
• Experience in writing unit and system-level tests.
• Background in information retrieval or text summarization, with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and large language models (LLMs).
