UTSAAH Lab is looking for an Android Development Intern to join our team. As an Android Development Intern, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of mobile applications for the operating systems. You will work closely with our team to develop and test mobile applications. Your responsibilities will include coding applications, testing, and debugging code, and working as part of a team to develop applications that include mobile and desktop. Selected candidates will be working on the below-mentioned project:

• InsuFlo: An insulin pump for people with diabetes

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Android application development.
• Proficient in Java and Android SDK.
• Familiarity with Android Studio and Git.
• Experience with Bluetooth connectivity protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize code.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with hardware team.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Application Development:
• Take a role in the development of Android applications, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to project requirements.
• Collaborate with the UI/UX team to integrate designs seamlessly into the application for an optimal user experience.
• Software Testing:
• Conduct thorough and comprehensive testing of the software application to identify and address any bugs, glitches, or performance issues.
• Implement effective testing strategies to ensure the reliability and functionality of the Android applications.
• Collaboration with Hardware Team:
• Work closely with the hardware team to establish and maintain Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connections between the Android application and associated hardware devices.
• Ensure seamless integration between the software and hardware components for a cohesive and reliable end-to-end solution.
• In-Depth Documentation:
• Generate comprehensive documentation for all aspects of the Android application development process, including code documentation, testing procedures, and integration guides.
• Maintain detailed records of the BLE connection protocols and interactions with hardware components.
• Provide documentation for troubleshooting and issue resolution, ensuring a clear reference for future development and support.
