Data Engineer Intern- Startup Opportunity

‍ Role: Data Engineer Intern:

• We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer Intern to build and optimize data systems. You will work closely with backend teams to design scalable data pipelines and improve data-driven features.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for scalable systems
• Write optimized SQL queries using PostgreSQL
• Work on data cleaning, transformation, and validation
• Integrate APIs and handle real-time data ingestion
• Support backend services using Node.js and Express.js
• Monitor data workflows, logs, and error handling systems
• Ensure data integrity, normalization, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with frontend (React) and mobile teams

Requirements:

• Strong basics of SQL and database concepts
• Knowledge of Node.js / JavaScript or Python
• Understanding of REST APIs and backend development
• Familiarity with Git, Postman, and debugging tools
• Basic understanding of data structures and system design
• Interest in scalable systems and a startup environment

Good to Have (Bonus):

• Experience with PostgreSQL optimization
• Knowledge of Redis / caching concepts
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
• Understanding of event-driven architecture/webhooks
